Join the Appaloosa Association

Being a member of the Appaloosa Association is  more than just a subscription. Our members are as unique and diverse as the horses themselves.  By belonging to ApHANZ you are encouraged to actively participate in the preservation, growth and development of the Appaloosa in New Zealand through being a part of a like-minded community of horse people.

Membership includes:

  • Your Appaloosa Association membership cardgallery15
  • The ApHANZ Hand-Book with all new memberships
  • Annual subscription to the Appaloosa News
  • The opportunity to earn annual and lifetime points and awards for you and your horse
  • The right to compete at the annual National/Championship Shows in your chosen events
  • The right to join the Council and participate in the running of the Association
  • Voting rights on all important Appaloosa issues, either as a councillor or at our annual AGM
  • The right to Progeny and Adult register your horses, thus securing their breed value
  • The right to provide feedback on any issues relating to the Association

Members fund the activities of the Association through memberships, registrations, raffles, show entries and ancillary charges such as advertising.  As this is your association, it is up to you as members to get behind, support and be involved to ensure it's continued success.

  2. hi, there I would like to transfer ownership 4 horses but the only problem is we don’t have any contact with the previous owner we were asked to look after them for a little while in Feb 2014 it’s now 2020. we know the names and have found the paper we were just looking for photos to confirm.
    if there is a phone number that I could ring to answer any questions you have, please get back to me asap
